Advise for my own Specter family

I have the same situation, I downloaded Olive and her niece some time ago I think it was Maxis who made them. 

They're not connected in any way to the new Olive so nothing game breaking can happen. My solution is to make the old Olive the mother of the newer version, it's not uncommon for parents to hand down the same name. (Just in my head, I don't plan to actually link them) I'll age her up but leave Ophelia as she is. 

I like the idea of making her the new Olive's mother! Another possibility is to make her Olive's sister and make Ophelia her daughter instead of niece. If she dies or you decide to kill her off, you can make Olive your Ophelia's new guardian.

So what did you do to your current Olive then since you don't plan to link them up as of now?

I am thinking of turning my current Olive into Ophelia's mum (Willow according to lore) as well. Thanks for this idea!

I think my only option is to play my own versions until their demise and then say they resurrected as new versions

Otherwise I'd have to scrap my whole story and yeah no not vibing with that

not sure if i should delete the new household in the meanwhile though i mean id like to so they don't show up in weird places but idk if they lose something if i take them out and readd from gallery later 😅 guess ill have to keep them there

I renamed my current Olive as Willow and turned her she into Ravenwood Olive's sister and Ophelia is Willow's daughter. 

Both Willow and her daughter Ophelia are residing in Oasis Spring. I guess I will stick to this narrative for the time being.

I'd just delete the EA family. My perspective on this is that you have invested time and emotions into your own Spectre family. That needs to count for something! If you want to play with the official sims later on, they'll always wait for you in a new save. Whereas yours are unique.

D - Keeping them both Olives but you could pretent that one Olive is an ancestor of the other (so one is a namesake of the other, like named after her aunt or great-grandmother or similar). In this story, you could age down the new Olive to make it make some more sense. You could also keep them in separate Worlds/saves as if they're in separate timelines, depending on your play style.

E - Keeping them both but change the first name for ONE of them (I'd say the new one, as you aren't invested in her yet). In this story, Olive and Oriana (or Odette or Orla or Opal or whatever you choose for her new first name) are long lost twins, so it's natural that they have similar interests and the same last name. They won't have the built-in family tree but I love this idea for building their relationship and combining their stories!

EnkiSchmidtLikewise, you could ignore them? Whether you also want to re-name them or not. I tend not to invest in townies unless I feel the need to modify their truly tragic outfits in CAS.
