Cow plant deaths? ANSWERED

Sims can still die by cowplant. If they get eaten once and spat out, they get a 'drained' moodlet. If they try to interact with the cowplant again and get eaten while still having this moodlet, they'll die.

I'm not sure if this is just in the older games, but I think they'll also die if they get eaten if their mood is dangerously low. I also think if they have low hygiene, the cowplant will spit them out. This might not be TS4-specific, however.

In TS4, I suppose it is kinda a "failsafe" just in case one sim may wander up to the cowplant accidentally and get eaten while you are tending to another one?
But death in Sims 4 in general is this way.

I had a cowplant in my ancestral file. Odd to see how many times my seven times great-grandfather would get eaten by the darned thing. He loved that fool plant and was always caring for it, and playing with it. Ingrate! He treated it like his personal pet, for Surak's sake. LOL Yet, time and time again he'd get eaten and then I'd have to drop everything else I was attempting to do in that game just to keep an eye on the Patriarch. :#

In TS4, the Cowplants gets hungry about every 12 hours. If it isn't fed, it will put out the cake. The Sims will try to eat the cake if they are hungry. They will get eaten and spit out. They will have a "Drained" moodlet for two days. The Cowplant will have a large udder, and need to be milked before it will put out the cake again if it is hungry. When your Sim milks it, they will get a glass of "milk" "flavored" with whatever emotion the Sim who got eaten. If a Sim drinks the milk, they will get that emotion. If the drained Sim tries to eat the cake again before their moodlet is gone, they will get eaten, and will die. The quickest way to remove the Drained moodlet is to simply drink the "glass of emotion", and they will get that emotion instead of being Drained. Your Cowplant will die if it gets too hungry, usually some time after 12 hours. I have never had a Sim die if they had low needs, unless they were also Drained. Their hygiene will be low after being eaten, but that is because they were eaten, and it's icky inside a Cowplant. :p
