Just went to play a family I haven't for a while, they live in the biggest mansion in Willow Creek and I just got a notification that their power would be shut off in 24 hours...the bill is over $90k!...

Bills are delivered once a week. You just have to remember which weekday you got the bills (it can change if you're playing rotationally).
