Create-a-Style is really missed

Yes, I believe this is accurate. They created a new engine and didn't use the old one that was intended for the online game. So, that brings me back to my question: Why would they create a new engine that is so limited (if you believe EA) that it can't do CASt or a color wheel, below ground functions (pools, basements), nor any real terraforming? Really, why would you limit the possibilities this much?

Because it was coded to be an online social game so it will have many of the limitations of such a game. That is why we don't have CASt, open world, teens of a different height, pools/basements, and toddlers. They just were not planned for from the beginning. :/
I will say, that they did better then I thought they were going to given the limited time and engine they were to turn it into a PC game. And I really do hope I am wrong about how the game will fare as more EPs, SPs, and DLC (not to mention mods and cc) are added to it. They added content into SIms 3 until they literally could not release anymore EPs without completely breaking the game, I imagine they will do the same with Sims 4 though, so it has some time to go.
I keep thinking I should leave this site and all news of sims for about 2 years and come back and see if it's a good game then. I get all stirred up here because it's so far away from what I expect and what I want. So maybe it will be fixed then, and I don't ruin anyone else's time being sad about it. But I do want ea to know that I'm very disappointed in them. It was expensive for a very buggy empty game!
Maybe in 2 years we have cast and toddlers and then Martha is nice again lol! :wink:
