@simgirl1010 I think if my memory is correct I get ash piles from cloned items too. I have used them to copy things for stores though. I keep one handy to keep stocking afterwards. I've used it for Crystals too and it works.
I often have to pop into build mode and clear the ash piles lol.
I still haven't found any Amber 😞. I've got everything but that one and it's still told her she's completed the Crystal collection.

If your sim has level 10 handiness, Forgotten Grotto is often a good place to get rare crystals @simsplayer818
I hope that you find amber soon.
- @rosemow I've looked in the Grotto but I usually camp there for a few days and keep collecting there as rocks continue to spawn. But I hadn't tried that because of her dog. I think I'll try it today and take supplies for Lyra and Emerald the poodle to go camping there...so far Emerald isn't keen on travel. Perhaps because he was a stray and now he likes his comfortable home!
I hope that you do find amber when you have Lyra and Emerald camping there @simsplayer818 and that Emerald copes with the travelling okay. It is sad that he was a stray but it is good that he now has a nice home with Lyra to look after him.
