Wow, this is going to be a sizable patch:- Terrain tools
- New career
- Portable sketch pad (which I'm really eager for -- it'll be easier for my Sims to paint their cute toddlers doing cute stuff)
- Self-employment
- Plus fully rewritten code (Python 3.7) which will hopefully solve the majority of bugs
I might have to hit the local library or somewhere with the Fast Internet lot trait...
The sketch pad is part of the career. It's an unlockable object according to the livestream. There's another "signature object" of the career but we haven't seen it yet.
Also, nothing has been said about a fully rewritten game code. Pretty sure they just re-compiled the game in the new version of python which probably does indicate code erros in a more efficient way, probably even some the previous version wouldn't consider as errors.
Well, if it's unlockable that means the unlock cheat will free it for my artist Sims. B) Not being familiar with Python (my last programming experience was C back in the Dark Ages) you could be right, but at least the new version of Python might catch some of the more glaring bugs like the traveling on holidays bringing all the Sims home early (that's the one that's really breaking my gameplay even more so than the leaf pile issue -- my current save is still in spring so no leaf piles yet).- Terrain tools

As a self-employed person myself, very happy about this seemingly small but much appreciated addition :)
It's crazy how much joy this brings me. Everything from being able to call a veterinarian a Veterinarian or an archaeologist an Archaeologist to making up designations like "Town Nectar Enthusiast" or "Casanova" (looking at you, Don Lothario) or hopefully calling retired people "Retired Whatevers."

When is this patch due?
They don't usually tell us in advance, but typically the pre-EP patches come out a week to 3 days before the EP.- paigeisin57 years agoNew SpectatorSims who write, paint or farm their plots of land will now be recognized as being employed and that is something I have been wanting in Sims4 since the beginning. Now it will make much more sense to build certain skills. And while I am thrilled this will be in the patch I do question why we haven't heard anything about the current bugs so many Simmers are experiencing in their games. Expansion hype aside, I will be waiting to buy this EP for many reasons that don't need to be discussed here. I think I am more excited about self-employed Sims and the terrain tools than I am about having the full Get Famous EP.

- I don't know where to start! I'd originally planned to start with the acting career but not so sure yet. I may just have to change up my playing style and play a couple of households in rotation.

There's a livestream on November 6th that's about patch content. That's not the patch date.- They postponed it from being the October patch to fix some things. They have not said it is ready for release as the pre-patch yet. Hopefully!

When this patch comes out I might go back to play my dear favorite sim, Frank Miner. He dreamed of owning a restaurant way before they even became a possibility. He owns one, but I never played it out to 5 star because he was " unemployed" and that ruined who he was for me because his pride was in owning the best possible place to eat in all the lands of Sims. Now he can wear that badge with honour and be proud to say he owns his restaurant!
It makes a HUGE difference in how I see my sims and their goals.
