@TX12001 I hope I'm not derailing the thread with this question, but how are vampires more powerful than witches? Because they don't age? Witches may age, but they can reverse it with a potion, can brew another potion that permanently prevents them from dying of old age, yet another one that immediately revives them if they die, and if that's not enough, they have means to actually bring back the dead. They can do almost everything vampires can and then some, have no inherent weaknesses to the sun or garlic and don't have to acquire more weaknesses in exchange for more powers, some of which only serve to make vampires immune to threats they wouldn't even be facing if they weren't vampires. So yeah, no trolling or flamebaiting here, just a serious question: How are vampires more powerful than witches?
This might be a bit long and confusing so please bare with me, anyway Vampires can become immune to up to 11 Death Types which include the following things plus their is probably one or two I have not mentioned.
- Old Age
- Drowning
- Starvation
- Emotional Death
- Overexertion
- Sunlight (With the Sunlight Immunity Perk)
- Pufferfish Nigiri (City Living)
- Cold Weather (Seasons)
- Hot Weather (Seasons)
- Steam (Spa Day)
- Flower Arrangement involving a Death Flower (I did not even know this one existed but Vampires are immune to it as well)
Where as a Spell caster can only become immune to 1 Death Type and that is Old Age however an Elder Spell Caster can still die from Elder related deaths such as Overexertion, as for being able to revive, you won't ever need to revive if your not going to be put down in the first place.
And as you said Spell Casters will still age into an elder whether they are immortal or not, you can consume the potion to keep them young but here is the thing though, they won't autonomously consume this, if you play any other house-hold you will always be at risk of your spell-caster sims ageing up, Vampire Sims on the other-hand simply will not age past young-adult, the fact these Sims are less likely to die on their own makes them a more OP lifestate.
Then we have the Needs, Spell Casters have 8 Needs, sure they have a potion they can brew and consume to restore their needs however compare that to only having 2 needs that can mostly be ignored, Vampires are not at risk of ever soiling themselves and unlike Spell casters they do not need to Bathe or Socialize or even have Fun, they will not faint at low Vampire Energy and they will not die from lack of Thirst.
Vampires can also move around significantly faster due to the Supernatural Speed power, you may believe that speed is meaningless if you can teleport but here is the thing, superspeed is much quicker when you travel short distances, teleportation is only good for long distances, something Vampires can also do with Mist Form, they can also become immune to Garlic, they can enter homes without knocking, their skills can increase significantly faster when at night with the appropriate perk and most of all their alluring visage perk has power over even Celebrities, they can command other sims, they can detect a sims entire personality, they deprive Sims of their needs, unlike Spell Casters, Vampires actually have the tools to kill other Sims.
Vampires with deadened Emotions are also unaffected by Despario and Deliriate as this keeps them in a constant state of Fine, however their versions of these powers such as Burst of Daze and Mesmerize will still effect Spell Casters.
If that is still not enough to convince you have them fight each-other, it will usually end with the spell caster on their knees as the Vampire levitates to the ground, Lower Ranked Spell Casters may have an edge earlier off against Lower Ranked Vampires but as they get more powerful you will find the Vampire very quickly takes the lead, a Virtuoso Spell Caster is simply not on the same level as a Grandmaster Vampire.
