Customize lifespan in the sims 4 ?

Personally, I'm quite happy with the lifespans, and I have MCC if not, but anything that involves more customisation is great in my book.

I prefer a lifespan that is double of the normal lifespan. Normal is a bit too short, but long takes way too long.

I feel the same way as you @Nikkih :( I've now settled on playing long lifespan, but I'm not happy with it. I always age my toddlers, children and teens earlier.

I'm okay with the lifespans the way they are now, I don't need them to be changed, but I wouldn't say no to the option to customize them.

I would also like babies to be more playable & not objects. As well as, some height sliders in CAS for teens to adults. ;)

The problem with life span in my game is that all my Sims in my mayor game all has there specific purpose and I'm not shore the next generation can fill their shoes.

I used to have a hard time of letting go of my sims kept them immortal, but once I did I enjoyed my game more, each generation can be different, it gives you a sense of time in game @Peral

That is true but I plan rotaional, so my prime sims is about the same age, so with aging turned on first my elders would and when the next generations became elders they would all die like flies when I played in other households. I had to more then once fake in elders who died when I occasionally turn aging on so babies and toddlers eventially will age up. It is a very slow aging though

Young adult stage definitely needs to be extended, especially for sims that wish to pursue a degree. On normal this life stage is ~24 days, but can vary if you start with YA sim. A degree takes a minimum of 3 weeks (21 days) at a boring grind or 4 weeks (28 days) if you take one class less to actually have time to socialise and do Organisation stuff too. That doesn't include the application process at the start either.

Adult is about the same length and should be extended too, as these are the child raising years, especially for sims that got a degree first.

If you try for a baby on your first day of YA in normal life span, then you become an Adult about the same time that Baby becomes a Teen. If you go for a degree first then you become an Elder and possibly die while the child is still only a Teen.

It needs to be balanced better so that sims can get degrees and still live long enough to see their Grandchildren at least as Children, but preferably as Teens too. This reflects life better.

I personally do think that being able to customize this it would give us more freedom to decide how our sims age, I do think for example long is too long for toddlers, babies especially and often find myself aging them up prematurely, not everyone has access to mods, I think normal lifespan is too short for Young adults and adults, you feel you have to rush abit with those life stages, this is how I feel, you could make the life stages you like long and the life stages you dislike short or whatever inbetween @Atreya33
