Dating a celebrity when you have kids is super awkward

I haven't seen an introduction like you mean yet... it would be nice if there was one.

I get around just hoping an introduction works by using the club system from GT most often. If you get them in a club together you can talk to them pretty normally. I wait until they are pretty green friendship wise then the introduction works.
Blind dates (not that that helps with kids) also can work and I think I've used group options... I think. Like if you do an activity together the friendship will sometimes go up just due to chatting while doing it.
Would love to know how others get to know celebs easier.

@FanPhoria How did you get your sim to befriend Dirk? I'm trying to have my teen sim befriend Orange Bailey-Moon, but she can't do much with him because of his celebrity status. I'm not sure how to make them friends enough that she stops treating him like a celebrity without cheating.

You can use the other sims function to introduce a celebrity to another sim, it requires that you know both well, but when you do, the celebrity will say something in the style of "Oh, I would love to get to know that person" then they will walk up and introduce themselves.

On the upside, if you can get the kids to one-star celebrities and take the Networking perk, their attempts to communicate with Dirk will earn them fame.

@floridameerkat, honestly, I kinda lucked out with Dirk, lol. I'd been having my sim try to introduce themselves to basically every celebrity they encountered, and had really variable results. Dirk was basically the only one that said hi back, lol, and he even wasn't put off by his initial attempts to "imply attraction," so...maybe he was just into him? So, I got a little bit of a pink bar going almost right away, and on the second meeting (we ran into him at the gym)he was in a good mood I guess, cause it went really well. I was being super cautious, just repeatedly making little friendly gestures, throwing in a flirty one here and there, building that bar up, and pretty soon I got the option to "ask to be boyfriend" and from there I could basically interact with him as normal. It probably didn't hurt that my sim had totally maxed charisma, and was being very slow and persistent, but it was also definitely just a lucky break, to be sure. Dirk just...seemed to like my sim, lmao :D

This was meeting number one, when my sim was all chubby and pregnant (I'm doing the 100 baby challenge so he's pregnant a lot. And yes, I'm doing it with a male sim set to "can become pregnant," and that sim is named Jack Harkness, in case you were wondering, lol)

He's number 19 out of 100, so a ways to go yet. Thank goodness Jack completed his serial romantic aspiration and got the player trait, lmao.

@FanPhoria I love that storyline -- Captain Jack was my favorite companion with the Ninth and Tenth Doctor. And his son with Dirk is absolutely gorgeous. Never thought of doing a 100 Baby Challenge (I get bored too easily) mush less with a male giving birth. Good luck on the challenge!

Thank you! It's been a little grindy at times to be sure, but I've managed to keep it interesting so far. Dirk's son is grown and I had him move in with him to get him out of the house (make room for more babays, lol), and I've actually uploaded them to the gallery, if anyone want to play with them! Tho I forgot to change Derik's laast name from Harkness, whoops ;-P But, he up there under "Dreamer&Son" or something like that. I'm using the legacy trait generator for traits and aspirations, so ended up being a genius with the computer whiz aspiration like his dad...only he's also lazy and romantic :D
