Deadened Emotions Bug

So I got my sims to complete the Vampire aspiration and also got them both to make and drink the cure but they still seem to have the deadened emotions buff which I assume should have left when the vampirism did? Can someone please help if this has happened in your game and advise how to get rid of it or is it a bug?

I use MCCC as well and when I was checking the buffs, it was showing that the vampirism was still hidden in the buffs, could it be down to this?
