This new death notification is driving me crazy. My family never seems to be out of mourning. I am playing the 100 baby challenge and someone is dying every couple of days, I have 6 people in my family right now and they are all crying ALL the time. I even had an unborn baby born very sad. It's enough to make ME cry.

Well so many people wanted more involvement with the deaths in the game and they did just that...I know MCCC mod has a way to disable them

I know it might be annoying for some players and it annoys me sometimes, but I'm glad death is noticed now. I found good solution for that. I have a social activities mod. I send my sims to the church, circus, museum or short vacation ( there is more activities to choose from) and they come back happy in no time. Or sometimes I let them be sad longer if the person who died was good friend.

I could understand if they were mourning over someone they knew but most of the time they have never met the sim that died. My toddler never met any of the last few sims that died but they got the moodlet the moment they turned toddler.

@simm621 I have this happening in my game too! & yeah, it's rough when deaths are constantly happening. My Sims' enemy just died and she got hit with a 2 day moodlet. For me....I love the concept....as I wanted my Sims to react more, so I applaud the Devs for bringing this feature. But I hope they tweak it to where it makes sense. If my Sim is enemies with a NPC....they shouldn't be sad. Same with Sims they barely know. I've never used the UI Cheats extension...but if this doesn't get fixed I might be getting the mod to get rid of the moodlet. & in the 100 Baby Challenge....having complete sadness 24/7....yeah I feel your pain.

I think they should shorten the mourning process for death of a friend - cause otherwise we might have a constantly sad popular sim :/

That's it! In the middle of a family wedding and all the phones ring about the death of some stall holder who lives in the jungle. Everyone is sad +3 for 2 days. So my solution is this mod. It backs off the duration and intensity of the mourning for lesser relationships. No more sad for 2 days just because an acquaintance has shuffled off this mortal simcoil.

The mod seems to work but I would be greatful for testers and feedback. If anybody would like to test it for errors and function please have a go with it.
