If you want to work with her traits you can have her die of cardiac explosion also. Just invite her declared enemies over and have her get mean with them, fight ect. If you up that with angry emotional aura stuff that will work with some effort. I usually use angry paintings. You'll have to get her enraged and stay that way for it to kick in.
Mortimer isn't hot headed so he can probably live through it. You might have to get your sim involved to keep the anger going if her enemies decide they have had enough.
If she's an elder you can also have her die of exhaustion through exercise and then woohoo.. not sure it fits in her story though, but it's usually easy to do.
