How do you feel about the demise of your sims?

I unintentionally avoid death but only because it makes me sad! :lol:
There is still a save somewhere with my and my husband's sim-selves which I stopped playing shortly after they became elders.
Usually I play with aging off and avoid death but I'm having a go at a generations style. My Sims are still fairly young and my green-thumbed Sim has a couple of death flowers on her just incase of any unfortunate accidents. So I'm not avoiding death in this save but I am being extremely cautious and will be sad when it eventually happens.
I think the saddest part is the other Sims being sad about it...
