I had edited Winterfest, and removed Father Winter from the traditions list. And had no problems with crashing since then. So there is a work around for the Father Winter crashing issue. If you are still having this crashing issue. Just either remove Father Winter from the tradition list for Winterfest or just cancel the holiday altogether. This should temporarily fix the crashing issue.
