Can Sims purchase holiday homes like in TS2?
I think I'd enjoy the challenges of Retail. Was it GTW that introduces that? Except C&D for a veterinary.
I never ran I restaurant, but had a couple of clubs and installed a little electronic keypad that required them to log in and be charged per hour. I could make a fair bit of money but it was a slow burner because there was nothing for my Sim to do to earn perks for the business.
Unfortunately, they can't purchase other homes :( They can still rent any place whenever they want though.

Oh yeah, in the defense of vampires, they do not autonomously turn human sims. With occults and special roles, the game generates sims to fill the necessary quota for that type. You don't need tons of garlic to ward them away; Vampire break-ins are much rarer now, and I've only experienced it with households that were involved with vampires. It's similar to alien abductions, most of the time you won't get abducted unless you're involved with aliens somehow (either through the scientist career, owning scientist items, or chatting it up with aliens often).
