I recommend GT because Windenburg is a massive world, clubs are extremely flexible and can make your background NPCs seem interesting and living a life plus it comes with a big selection of interesting premade sims.
Definetely bundle to save money: gamepacks are all interesting but i would go either vampires or ROM if you like occults or parenthood if you like family play and dine out if young adult life is your thing.
If you build romantic garden stuff pack is a must because of how much landscaping stuff it adds. Perfect patio has the hot tub and moschino has good hairs, a career and a photography upgrade.
