Decorations not showing up on DIY Christmas tree

I got the DIY tree for my sims to decorate for Christmas. I was able to select the various decoration options okay and my sims went through the actions of decorating the tree. When they were finished ...

has anyone had the problem where when use the attic box to put up some xmas decor that it dose it show up on the house
