I agree with the aspects of your post related to actives and competition, especially with sports. Sims can barely do anything with/against each other. I feel a lot of it is just because of crappy programming where often times sims legit just will not do things in groups, so to avoid it altogether, they just make everything a one man activity. I'm already predicting that when Eco lifestyle comes out all of these "community" activities that they're promoting won't actually work as they're indented to in game or how that trailer presented it.

Truthfully I would love more group actives involving just friendly competition. I really think it's weird that we cannot actually play basketball with a group of friends. Unless they're doing a practice, I've never in my life seen kids lined up just to shoot hoops with their friends with no real interaction with the people around them.
