Im curious (about a lot of Sims 4 things really lol) but I remember in past iterations that even though the game allowed deletion of Sims it was widely frowned upon and was the cause for neighbourhood corruption after some time. Im wondering if it's safer to delete Sims now in this current version of the Sims?
I know the game will cull Sims automatically unless they are marked as "played" but I often go through the management screen and delete Sims I don't want to keep.
Any insight would be wonderful. Thanks!
In The Sims 2/3 the depth in relationships, family tree, memories, etc ... was what caused corruption when you deleted a sim. In The Sims 4 most of these things have been removed or turned into fake features (such as family trees that are not as important in the game, or interactions). You can delete most sims in Sims 4 without a problem, if they are important like the Von Haunt ghosts, the game will spawn them again. But those important ones don't show up in the manage household feature.
