Desktop Icon
After updating the game just now, I clicked on the desktop icon like always to open the game, it says that that shortcut no longer works and now it's gone. So...how do I get a new one or is the game j...

I have the same problem. There is a way to get it back but it's a bit of a process.
For Windows 10:
Go to File Explorer
This PC>Local Disk (C:)>Program Files (x86)>Origin Games>The Sims 4>Game>Bin
Then you will see TS4_x64.exe (It will have the game icon)
Right click that, Click Send to, then Desktop (create shortcut)
Edit: I have no idea what it is for Mac because I have never owned any Apple products. Also, I think it's a similar path for Windows 7 and up but I'm not 100% sure on that. Hopefully someone can clarify that.
