Detective career, going to crime scenes

You need to join the Detectve Career, then when you get to level 2 in the career you will be able to go on patrol and travel to a crime scene.

the crime map is damaged in my game as well, it is impossible to pass from day one where the first task is "Get case assigned" done on the computer and second task is "Travel to the crime scene" which can only happen with the crime map. No computer, no cellphone, nothing else allows you to travel to the crime scene but clicking the unclickeable crime map. I tried downloading the lot from the gallery which was worse because now the cells had no doors on it, even if it was my perfectly good police station, tried saving a crime map from a brand new save file, tried deleting the cache, nothing works. That object is useless now and there is no way to follow that career, all because Maxis could not allow any other way to travel to the crime scene, even using the regular zoom out or cellphone or computer which somehow people says has the option to trave to crime scene. - it doesn't.-

And it's STILL broken, sooo....

Where they sit at the computers, there is a board on wall. You click it to go to crime scene or on patrol. Later you will add things to the board as you get clues.

You can also go to the crime scene by using a computer or by clicking the ground anywhere outside the actual lot. Street, driveway, sidewalks, grass, etc.

Did you start a case?

You have to hold shift and click the map
