diagonal grid?
so i downloaded this adorable angled house from the gallery onto my current lot in game. since it was made on an angle the grid inside the house is also angled and is making furniture snap awkwardly...

You can't fixed it. That's the thing about diagonal houses, they're not very practical for interior designing in TS4.
You would just have delete the diagonal room or build a wall so you get a straight on square room and then an unusable triangle beside it. This, of course, depends how the house looks like since you didn't provide a pic, I won't know the right way to suggest workarounds.
