Actually, you can create a new spellcaster with pointy ears. No need to use premades. Just drag'n'drop the top of a spellcaster's ear in CAS.
Did you know that by using the Potion of Emotional Stability you can remove a negative buff from overcharge, so your sim won't die after the next overcharge? Cast as many spells as you want, just don't forget to drink the potion!
