In your game, do you consider Diego Lobo (San Myshuno) blond, or did he dye his hair? I mean, his looks are not exactly plain and natural. His eye brow looks painted black, so I don't feel they give away his true hair color, either. It might perhaps be just as easy to say he is a true blond.I've not invested how hair color is passed down the generations, recalling that if a red haired TS3 sim dyed hair blond, offspring could get blond hair. If your Diego had kids, did that resolve my hair color question? :)

It won't matter what their "true" color is, whatever their current hair color is will pass on down to the offspring. At least that was how it has been in my game. I haven't done Diego yet, but most of the sims in my game I have changed their hair color to match their eyebrows. But then again, maybe Diego has simply dyed his eyebrows.

I don’t care for his look at all, but I do like him as a Sim and play him often. I change the way he looks but not always the same way. In my current game I gave him brown hair with light facial hair, usually I leave him blond and match his eyebrows. His kids end up with whatever hair color he currently has. This is him in my current saveThis is his son from that saveHere is a pic of him and his family in an older save, it’s what I typically change his appearance to.

However if both parents have default natural colors like blond, red, black, brown etc. they'll always take to that even if it's recently changed.So in other words, the game attempted to use the father's hair color, but since it wasn't within the toddler's selection it nulled to black. However though, if the father's haircolor is blonde (recently changed or born with it), the child's hair would be blond if it selects the father's hair genes to go with it.

My redheaded sim dyed her hair blonde shortly after the birth of her first child. Her second child was born with the same shade of hair, despite neither parent having red hair at the time. I'm wondering then, would grandparents have any influence on genetics? Because my redhead sim had redheaded parents.

I'm finally playing with him and when I was giving him a makeover I was updating his hair too. His hair looks bleached and when I put black hair on him to match his facial hair it was too dark. He has these beautiful greenish color eyes that I hope his new daughter inherits,but the color that looked to me like his natural hair color was dark brown. That color went with his eyes and skin tone and actually looks natural on him.

Whatever color hair or skin etc your sims have when conceiving will determine the baby's genetics (without considering the factor of other fam members). So, if you don't want certain hair colors passed down your best thing to do is change their hair colors etc before trying for a baby.

Definitely bleached, the facial hair is all black and that colour isnt very natural :D

Judging by his appearance and name I'd say he is Latino, if that's the case then he most likely has natural black hair (which he later bleached), since that's the most prominent hair color in those regions.

I personally believe he dyes it - here he got together with Izzy Fabulous who gave him style advice - the main piece being stop dyeing your lovely hair.
