The bugs come and go, especially after adding a new pack or updating. To be fair to the teams, there aren't as many as there were but some linger on. My biggest pet peeve used to be the patrons playing a game of musical chairs, leaving their table to wander about and demand hugs from other Sims they barely knew, or didn't know at all. Or getting up from the table to exercise, often deciding to go for a jog in the middle of a date. It's been a long time since I tried to create a restaurant with Experimental food on the menu, but I know that was broken a few packs ago.
Keeping the restaurant small along with having two chef stations usually helps keep everything running smoothly. Right now Dine Out is a lot better than it was, maybe in the best shape it has been since it's release. But it could use some fine tuning so we could create larger restaurants, choose to have family members work as employees, or have our main Sim in the role of owner and head chef. That little improvement would provide the incentive for me to tackle the grind of leveling up and running a five star restaurant. But it's just too difficult to do that with the way it is now.
