I had boughten Dine Out (When it first was released) because I wanted to own, run, and/or work in the restaurant. I was super bummed when I discovered you could only manage (Barely) the restaurant. Is it so much to ask to let my sims work in the restaurant? In real life a lot of restaurant owners work as the chef in the kitchen or have a family member skilled in cooking working in the kitchen. (I know this because I work in the kitchen of a restaurant irl).
As it stands now, I only use Dine Out as a place for my sims to go to eat out, go on a date, or have a bite with a friend.
It's at least nice that you're not limited to owning a restaurant cause otherwise a lot of people would feel cheated of their money since so many simmers, like myself, don't like the way EA went about it.
