Many other bugs can be fixed by changing the layout of the restaurant bc certain mechanics are fickle and dependent upon whether you placed something right where it'll work the best. Note this maybe a bit outdated although they rarely ever tackle fixing Dine Out bugs in patches.
Ahh @paradiseplanet I don't run the restaurants. I just plop them down or create them and add them to a world so my sims can visit them. After playing with a retail store, I discovered I have more fun visiting the venues than actually running them.
I kinda miss the TS3 version of being able to be a partner and get revenue without having to micro manage. I wish we had both.
But I loved running resorts in TS3, I could always make them successful.
