Here's a trailer idea I have (need to work on it a bit):
first-a ball bouncing around and then a wheelchair comes up and takes the ball and shoots it through the hoop.
second idea-ball (maybe hearing some kind of sound from the ball(?) is being kicked around by a bunch of kids but then it switches to another scene which shows one of the kids has a cane which shows they're blind.
show someone bowling (alternative American football-since the Hustle in American Football came from the fact a member was deaf)- but somehow indicated (hearing aid?, or SSL ((Simmlish Sign Language-which I know that Grant has ideas about))?)
last-kids are running but one of the kids start getting out of breathe and pull out their inhaler.
What happens if a kid or any other Sim doesn't use their inhaler? I know what happens in real life, but what about in game?
Now what if the game drops the interaction for using the inhaler?
The game is too light-hearted, cartoony, and non-realistic to handle the serious side of disabilities. And without that serious side of disabilities, it just makes light of it, which is the wrong way to go.
and yet in a sense vampism is a disability isn't it? It affects their ability to live a semi-human life style? I mean I could argue that one of the weakness for vampires seem to close to an eating disorder (Withering Stomach), and for those of you complaing about putting depression in the game technically it's a weakness already w/ vampires w/ a vampire weakness (Eternal Sadness). And one could argue that "uncontrollable hissing" could be related to Autism.
I mean I would be interesting to see how if it was possible to have like a deaf vampire, or if we get magic..(not vampire), a witch or wizard in a wheelchair. or a blind wolf (if we ever get werewolves).
But vampires aren't human. And the weaknesses offset a lot things that they are much better at than humans. Making them less cheaty for things like a legacy.
And you haven't answered my questions: what happens if the game drops the inhaler use interaction?
How do you handle the serious side of disabilities without getting too serious for the game? Disabilities may have been feasible to add to Sims 2 or Sims 3, but Sims 4 is way too light-hearted for disabilities and you've yet to show any way for the game to show the serious side of disabilities without being jarring (or anyone else arguing for disabilities to be added).
