Disable monsters?

I haven't found it yet, that would be useful.

Yes, there is a lamp with a monster on it you can put in the child's room to keep monsters away.

There's a nightlight in the lights that prevents monsters and you can get a teen+ sim to spray all the beds in the room before the kids go to bed as well

I believe the stuffed animal keeps them away too

I've tried doing that but it seems they keep showing up later anyway :|

Do you keep the nightlight on, or do you turn it off? Turning it off will deactivate it's monster scaring powers. It only works while it's on.
