You should, it really is not hard at all to do basic stuff. I made the popcorn maker and ice cream maker able to go into Sim's inventory per your suggestion in about 4 minutes. I also made them have Live Drag functionality in the process to make it easier to put them there.
Those two plus the aforementioned Tea Set and Champagne bucket changes I put up for download here for anyone interested.
