City living to me gives me in game claustrophobia. I feel fenced in. I want to ride the trains, I want to use the buildings and not just look at them. I want there to be things to do in the city. What kind of city doesn't have shops? What kind of city doesn't have a cinema? There is nothing to do apart from talk and do base game stuff. Don't even get me started on apartments. Not a patch on my sims 2 apartments.
It just feels like a second rate version. I feel that we are meant to be taken aback by how pretty the world is, the hope is that players won't notice there's nothing to do
Style over substance again.
I do thank the pack though, the day it came out it forced me finally to get back to the Sims 3. It encouraged me to buy a new pc that ran the sims 3 at the settings it needs. I think it was from that EP on, the sims 4 lost me.
That's one of the problems I have with it.
I made a community lot to support Geekcon. I thought it would be cool to have my sims hang out there, and when Geekcon finally showed up, they would have my community lot and Geekcon.
Does not work at all. The lot was part Cafe and all the Geekcon sims ignored Geekcon and hung out in the cafe.
You can't put any kind of lot connected to the festival space there that has anything more attractive than the festival itself, so what you can do with the city is pretty limited.
All I plan to use San Myshuno for is Sims graduating from University, a place for a city dance club, restaurant, and a high-end spa/gym.
