It is indeed due to the patch, and it appears that at least, mermaids and spellcasters are also exepriencing that faster decay.
Also pregnant sims. The last time I played my sim I couldn’t do anything with her as she kept having to use the bathroom, sleep, and eat every 1-2 sim hours. I couldn’t wait for her to give birth.
