context:

I’ve been having a real bad time with the updates this week (corrupted 2y save file), and I can hardly find a mildly unkind source because of the censoring - sim reddits have flagged the word update for this week, so I can’t post and give my experience, and if I wanted to skip that word I would need 25 karma. What this leads to is when I hop on google and type in July sims 4 update, it looks like this went fine and EA is proud and it’s so invalidating and demotivating.

@cecilepieWhile I can certainly appreciate your frustration, this is hardly surprising from a marketing standpoint. For what it's worth, X/Twitter is not censored in the least. The responses to the Sims/EA's social media accounts, however, can be polar opposite and it's a very volatile place overall on X.
