Dishonest Trailer
I wasn't going to make a thread for this, but the more I think about it the more annoyed I get. The new trailer for Get Famous advertises having award ceremonies like this: https://youtu.be/pvM...

Maybe they see it as artistic license, creative license, or dramatic license. Whatever you want to call it I don't see it changing. Another instance of deciding whether you will continue to support the game. Or not.
No, they see it as advertising and they put in there what’s allowed apparently to make their product look as juicy as possible to seduce people into buying. I wasn’t born yesterday, we’re not naive or something, we know how advertising works. I don’t mind the juice, I do mind false information. Some of us consider raising false expectations annoying and frustrating and disappointing and we would like to express that. You don’t have to agree, if you’re fine with it more power to you. “Just don’t buy/support the game” isn’t the answer to everything (in fact it never is). I’m not, in fact, supporting the game, I’m not going to buy this pack (and I haven’t bought Seasons or any of the SP’s). I did buy the Sims 3 packs that raised false expectations and I never regretted buying them, those packs in fact were worth their money. Doesn’t change the fact the advertising was out of line sometimes and made me wonder if there aren’t rules for that. That’s the subject here, not whether or not it’s worth buying. I don’t buy products to support a game or a company, I buy products because I want them.
Well then what is the answer? 3 pages in and no suggestions on how to go forward. One way to show dissatisfaction with a company, regardless of why you're dissatisfied, is simply not to buy their products. I agree with you that whether the product is worth it or not is not the issue.
