Do i stick with the new layout or keep the old layout?

I love to freshen up the looks of a lot from time to time, but the one thing I dislike the most in builds is rooms that are too small or cramped. That last is why I voted against making the switch to the new layout. Way too cramped. If it was my lot, I'd just redecorate. Major renovations aren't really needed in my opinion.
