Do i stick with the new layout or keep the old layout?

I've recently been doing a storyline featuring a complete remodelling of my sim self's house. He's lived there for the last 8 sim years and part of me has wanted to change it to the real life layout of the house. The interior of the house was taken from an Australian soap opera called "Neighbours"

Here is the current "Neighbours" version of the house:

And the real life interior i have added:

Virtual tour of the real life house as it's up for sale currently: https://players.cupix.com/p/oXjPekTy

I'm torn between the two layouts, however i just don't see my sim self living in the new real life layout of his house

I like the openness of the first one. Why don’t you lengthen the house a bit for an extra bedroom? If you don’t have room, place the house on a bigger lot.
  • I prefer the open floor plan, it just seems more spacious.

After taking someone's suggestion of mixing both layouts, i tried to move the kitchen to where the deck is but it just doesn't work for me in the open plan.
