do sims eat the new dumplings with chopsticks, please, say yes

In the live stream I believe they used a fork, sorry. :/

ETA: @DreamaDove I just went back and checked, no forks, they picked them up to eat them with their fingers. They ate the fish with a fork.

Even so, I'm sure that could be a Quality of Life fix in the future. For myself, I usually have those in soup so I'd be eating them with a spoon...lol. What? Wonton soup is amazing.

Okay but what is wrong with eating dumplings with a fork or fingers!? I have not once in my life eaten dumplings with chopsticks.

While eating the dumplings with chopsticks would have been a nice touch, I believe chopsticks were introduced in City Living. I don't think it would have been possible to add this animation to a base game object.

This is irrelevant to how dumplings should be eaten though. It's just personal preference. It is absolutely culturally acceptable to eat dumplings with a fork, spoon or fingers.

I am delighted with the new dishes. I refuse to nitpick about the manner in which my Sims eat them.

How to eat dumplings like a pro. A soup spoon is recommended because of the delicacy of the dumplings.


Since the Chinese eat most food with chopsticks, some diners assume that this is also the correct way to eat a soup dumpling. However, the dumpling is too delicate to pick up or poke with a chopstick and will leak the broth of the soup all over the table or plate.

great clarification! people use chopsticks for lots but not everything. plus also use other types of utensils too, it's all about preference really. :)
