With just about every welcome wagon, my Sims have gotten a fruitcake, and every time they've eaten it, they've hated it. Has anyone here ever had a Sim that actually LIKES the fruitcake? Does it depend on their traits, maybe?

There's a hidden "Likes Fruitcake" trait, which gives a +2 happy moodlet from eating fruitcake. It's totally random whether or not a Sim will end up with that trait, but most don't have it. Two of mine have had it, though.

Does anyone ever really like fruitcake?

I would say about 15% of my sims like the Welcome Wagon Fruitcake. All of them love the ones my maxed out, essence of flavor cook makes, those are good fruitcakes.

The best is when the Sim who brings it over (I assume it's the cook) hates it too, lol.

I've had just a few , of the MANY Sims I have , that actually like it. I just have them throw it out most of the time.

I made a lot of family and only 2 sims in the game like it.
So it could happen but not too much

I find it quite entertaining. Here come the neighbors to welcome you and hang out, and they have the best intentions bringing over some foodcake for your poor Sim with no cooking skill, and then everyone gags, lol.

Some of them do one of my sims does alot and once I gave Mortimer enough "nectar" and he had fruitcake and he liked it xD

That's so funny that it's random. I had two Sims receive a fruitcake, and one of them liked it, and the other hated it.

Out of all the households I've played (which is tons btw - I really need to try and commit to one and stick to it xD) I've only had them like it twice. Two different sims on different saves :)

I can remember having no sim liking a gifted fruit cake at a welcome to the neighborhood party in my game. Not even the sim that brought the fruit cake liked it. Now that's pretty bad.
