Do sims ever go to the Theme Park on the Boardwalk?

I would really love it if they added more useable lots for these areas, such as a festival lot or a fair grounds lot, though think it can be done now if use park. An actual lot would probably bring more people to it. I don't mind the rabbit hole rides but was disappointed that the amusement area in High School Years and also the contest area in Cottage Living aren't actual lots.
