I haven't read through every page, so I apologize if this has been stated already:
My problem with Twitter is that it is a very public platform.
Specialty forums like this one allow members to discuss their hobbies with like-minded individuals without everyone on the "Friends" list being made privy to it. Everyone that I know doesn't need to know that I have a Sims addiction. :D
Anyway, that's my two cents.
