It can be a real challenge. - SEREFRAS3 years agoLegendJust curious, what's a walkout basement?
- VenusARussell3 years agoSeasoned VeteranWell if your house is on a tall enough slope (works best on a large lot and raise the terrain) The lower half of your house is covered with raised terrain in the front. If you want to see any example of what I'm talking about check out my most recent build on the gallery.

You can walk out of the back of the basement to the backyard instead of it being entirely underground.- OldeSimsFan3 years agoSeasoned AceFrequently in TS2 where there is no shortage of sloping lots that need no artificial manipulation. Just not worth the hassle in 4.
- not really no
its rare I even consider bringing the stairs from the exterior side to basement level I've only done that couple of times
I did create walkway to second floor of one of my sand houses with terrain and it was pain enough  - I have not. I do make basements with the stairwell down in enclosed access on the outside of the house. I'm not really good with manipulating the lot height though. It always looks nicer in my head. LOL.

Same here. I don't bother with artificial slopes and then need to hide the empty space left between the wall and ground. I have built some walk out basements in TS4 but they are still just a hole in the ground, not proper walk out basements. TS4 building is good as standalone features, but they don't always work well together. - SEREFRAS3 years agoLegendOh I get it. It's like my open underground Skywalker home. B)
