Do you care about Premades? 👨‍👨‍👧‍👦

I'm very attached to legacy premeds especially from TS2, to the point where I've recreated some of them. Goths, Landgraabs and Calientes are my faves, but I also like the Newbies and Broke families. In fact my Willow Creek is pretty much a recreation of Pleasantview and Oasis Springs is Strangetown. I have one save file where I play only premades. Then I have my Legacy save file and Supersim save file where the premeds are background characters. I just started a decades challenge save file as well, where I'm incorporating the premades (with wardrobe makeovers) into the story line. So yeah, I love them!

For some of my save files I have deleted pretty much all of the premades but a few handful

In others kept them all but evicted them

I like having the premades in my game as friends for my sims. They are good to see when visiting the various worlds. 

I care about them too much 😅

TS1 I only played my own magical couple of sims and probably stole Mortimer or Bella for spouse or whatever when they were not totally rejecting my social advances

TS2 I mostly played my own sims again but I do recall jumping into some households at times or including premades in my own sim family

TS3 I totally ignored premades and I had overload of mods and cc to create my own sims I just really did not like the default look of ts3 sims

TS4 I started with only playing my own sims too

but then I started including premade or two... and now I only have premades, their nooboos, my simself and alien or two 🤣 and I have gotten obsessive about playing them all like they pokemon or something

I use premades. Mostly when they happen to stumble into my sims and get a role in their lives. I don't pay much attention to their background. It is not that important to me.
My favorite premade is Don Lothario. He is a very complex character. Maybe I find him so interesting because a large part of the community thinks he's terrible 😇

In a story I accomplished his life's quest. It was quite entertaining (not always for Don).
He later became a married family father with six children. The two eldest daughters had other mothers than his later wife. He turned out to be an incredibly caring father. I played with him until he got old and several of his children grew up.
I became quite attached to him, which is why he also appears in my current story.

I've been playing the Goths since Sims 1 and the Pleasants  & company since 2004. I made the Pleasant twins in TS3, and one of my go-to saves is a "Sims 2 in Sims 4" neighorhood. So the answer there is....yes. Very yes.  For Sims 4-specific families.....not really.  There are some NPCs who always get incorporated into my family because I like their genes, but I've never really played the stories out. I've been tempted t o do a save where I actually explore the townies/npcs.

It very much depend on the game, and my idea for it. I usually give the premades a make-over and just like having them around and make my own head canon about them. Most often they are just background, sometimes friends, but it does happen that I play with them too.

In one save I started out as Johnny Zest, he briefly dated Dana Caliente, but ending up marrying an original sim and moved to Sulani and broke it up with Dina when his wife to be found out he was flirting and almost threw him out. To be fair I've never seen such a realistic reaction before, and she didn't even have the jealous streak! Johnny literary had to beg to make her forgive him. It was such fun to play. He lived to a ripe old age and had two adorable children. 

I've also played the Pleasants, though I quickly became quite fond of Angela, struggling to keep her wild sister in check. She found a random townie to marry who came over randomly because he heard she'd just got a dog. They ended up having 5 kids and moving to Brindleton. I got quite attached to their "little" family. 

In my present save Julia Ward is a close friend of one of my sim, and a sort of mentor of her career introducing her to all the right people. The Goths are related by marriage to another one of my sims (although this is technically not the premade Goths, as they have not been born yet. Mortimer's grandfather Victor is set to age up to a teenager fairly soon.) 

I played with some of them in the beginning when I got the game, but for a long time now the first thing I do when I get a new world is delete all the premades and bulldoze their houses. I prefer to populate the world and build everything myself. Most of the Sims living in and wandering around the worlds are from Sims 2. There's also a few from Bustin' Out and Urbz. The Sims 4 premades just don't hold any interest for me.

I literally play my game hopping between all households, of course I love premades!  I did play aging off in a different file and I felt super weird not having my usual premades around for me to bounce off of.

Favorites are the Goths, Landgraabs, Behr household (the first sim I visited married Candy, one of my favorite designs), Munch (I have some delicious drama with the family going on), and the Villareals. Get Together remains a favorite for added townies in my file.

I used to play and control them. Not so much anymore. In my latest Legacy, my created Founder, Geordi, married Xochitl Luna that came with the Growing Together pack. I didn't have a wedding for the two. I ended up just having them elope.

The two had three children together; Vince and twin girls Cassie and Zoe.
