- The clothes look too similar for me. And the country kitchen uses a literal recolor of a basegame wall
- CAPTAIN_NXR75 years agoLegendI would have to agree that it is very misleading to make a statement about a visual comparison without providing a visual example.
Show me what you mean so we can actually have a conversation.
I never believed these outfits were just recolors and the visual comparison posted later on clearly confirms that.
Similar styles perhaps, but a recolor is something completely different to a new mesh of a similar style.
This is how folks just jump on the band wagon and blindly agree with everything that’s being said on social media without taking the time to look at the specifics.
When the majority says these clothes are recolors then it must be so. Let’s complain along.
I understand that people may not like the idea of kits, their price tag or the things offered in that kit, but I believe it’s very dangerous when people start throwing around incorrect terms and misinformation like this. Don’t always believe what you hear on the news folk. Do the research before you make a statement or form an opinion.
On top of that, every single one of my joggers looks similar and yet they’re a different cut. Actually, all sport outfits look similar, because they’re designed with a specific function in mind.
I’m not sure what else people expect? It’s a 90’s style fit kit for crying out loud. Not medieval style horse riding gear. - heatherjp5 years agoRising HotshotI really don't care or mind, as it's my money and my choice whether I want to spend it or not.
- VWoodsong5 years agoSeasoned AceI don't care much whether they're new or redone. I personally don't care for them either way.
- I can see they are not actual recolors, but I absolutely hate the idea of kits so I picked the yea it bothers me.
I've been playing a lot of TS3 recently without any mods and the amount of different clothing you can make is astronomical. Sure the meshes are outdated and pretty ugly tbh, but you can fix that with create a style easy. Makes me think they did not include any version of the feature in the new game purely because they can sell more clothes to us that way. - Lonewolf10445 years agoSeasoned Ace

Yep they sure did. - texxx785 years agoSeasoned Ace

None of the above. The items are similar but not identical so they can’t be considered recolors.
I feel like this kit is more 90s streetwear than 80s/90s workout gear. I wasn’t looking for the stereotypical leggings, leg warmers and leotards. More Fila and Reebok “urban wear” than Richard Simmons.
I think the confusion comes in with the terms “athleisure” and “fit”. Athleisure is a newer term. In the Black community we’ve worn “workout” clothes (ie tracksuits, “sweat suits”, tennis skirts, sports jerseys etc) for years as normal outfits but until recently it was never called athleisure. And the term “fit” for us is short for outfit. So I think these terms probably caused people to associate the kit with exercise or working out and that’s not necessarily what the TS4 team meant.
I have a few pictures myself and friends in bright colored tennis skirts, crop tops and jackets very similar to what’s included in this kit..and let’s not forget the hat. Iconic. Very 90s streetwear. And I had a dress exactly like the polo style one it was made by Fila as everyday wear not workout clothing.
This is exactly what i thought when i saw the clothes. While it wasn't my style you could see a lot of people wearing this everyday style in the 90's... - SimmerGeorge5 years agoSeasoned Ace

@CAPTAIN_NXR7 I don't think they are recolors by definition but people do call them that because of the incerdible similarity to each other. They are not only similar styles, they are the same outfit with some changes.
The problem is if you take the meshes from previous packs and make slight alterations, sorry but you are not doing much work if you're gonna charge 5$ for it.
People can go ahead and play "find the differences" with these to prove the point that they are not recolours by definition. But thing is, the clothes share so similar meshes, it makes you wonder how much work they put into them to charge 5$ per copy.
I find it hilarious that people even have to compare the clothes to find the differences, that's how similar these are. - LiELF5 years agoLegend

Well, it's also kind of hilarious that some people have to stretch a fact to make a false point.
The "everything is recycled" argument has a repetitive tendency to be premature and poorly investigated. - LiELF5 years agoLegend

Now TS3 CaSt...that's recoloring.
Evidently that's what some people want. Fair enough.
