Do you create stock characters / custom NPCs/"townies"?

I keep copies of sims I've played and have them as NPCs if I'm no longer playing them.

I like to add sims from TS2 and TS3, but I don't have a huge amount, maybe about 10 of my fave households. I also added some TS4 EA families like The Climates, Keye and Simmons.

I wish we could stop the random townies from generating. I just spent ages deleting about 50 of the darn things (okay, that might be a slight exaggeration but not much lol)
