Clutter is great but I feel TS4 has too much. There is a site I download lots from for TS2 just to look at the wonderful builds. But they are not playable they were meant as models. Model builders don't leave out a single detail. Every room filled things you would imagine and they are amazing however, people mistake those lots for playable lots because they are so wonderful. I do mean every blade of grass or clump, every telephone pole and wire running through the lots, every thing imaginable on counters and in kitchens, on tables and side tables, cushions galore on couches and love seats and throws across arms of chairs. Anything and everything. Even business lots and bakeries with every imaginable sign, decor, bun, cake, food, meats and counters and coolers and shelves in corners full of jams etc. Absolutely all eye candy. But the player may mistake the lot for something they can play but they were never meant to be played only eyed. Because 99.9 if a Sim is on a lot like that they can't move nor sit down, or wind their way through the clutter up stairs and down to basements etc. Some people are model builders and not building for a Sim to be able to visit and or live on a lot. I think TS4 builders have fallen into that category as well.
I do it myself sometimes, but it's never meant to be played. And for that reason is overboard. lol When you can't find one end table or side table to place a coffee cup or set down a plate, then it's way too much. :D Personally, I would rather have interactive objects such as a beautiful tea set on a coffee table placed just so, and at an angle, to actually be used. :)
