I think the one above is related to the GeekCon festival to make them look more 'nerdy' and some sims come in cosplay. However, I don't think it's really necessary and with the added headgear and accessories it looks ridiculous as none of it matches. I don't mind the GeekCon outfits as much as the other festival outfits as they are truly awful as they are just random clothing items of a certain colour rather than a set outfit. Still looks silly though.
It's frustrating to spend a lot of time in CAS making my sims look how they want and then having them in different outfits that aren't job related. I think there should be an option to turn these outfit changes off or at least be able to customise them. For now, mods will have to do.
I know what you're talking about, there is a situation outfit for Geek Con that is meant to be nerdy looking, but im not so sure this is one of them. I get this type of outfit even when GeekCon is off.
