I don't want my game to make decisions for me. It's that simple.
While festival outfits are sort of understandable (the GeekCon one is so clearly inspired by Steve Jobs I laughed the first time I saw it) I don't think the game should make decisions for us when it comes to events we set up and have creative control over, like weddings for example. Drives me mad whenever I throw a wedding and I have my sim couple switch to random black and white formal attire despite the option 1 in formal category being a perfectly good outfit previously chosen by me, the player. It just doesn't make sense. It's always a basic white dress and a tux. What If I don't want my sims to wear black and white to their wedding? And what if I don't want them to wear dresses? I should be able to. I am able to. And I don't want devs to mess with that.
These categories were made for a reason, so I see no place for any type of hidden situational outfit in The Sims :|
