Do You Fit The Sims 4 Unique Playerbase?

A recent (Sept 2021) Maxis job listing for a Senior Game Designer describes the game's "very unique playerbase" and proudly proclaims that 60% of The Sims 4's audience is women between the ages of 18 and 24. Of course, it mentions this for a reason, asking for applicants to have "deep insights" into creating the best experience for its unique playerbase.

I was in that demographic when I first played the sims 4, but now I’m in my late 20s.

That’s a pretty narrow demographic. I think their Twitter demographic might skew that young, but they might be missing a sizable group that don’t “twit.”

I'm curious to know how they know that and how accurate their methods are. Do they use actual customer info? Are people required to put their birth date in? I can't remember.

I guess I can pretend I am in that age group. My mother always said she was 39 years old, even when I passed her! I would guess that their percentages might be off a bit.

Nope, as in ancient male old enough to remember Harry Truman as president that likes to create and tell stories. Have been simming since TS1, day 1.
