Do you have problems in Get Famous with Talent Showcase?

My sims often get invited to talent showcases, but then end up on a home lot rather than a night club or bar, and I can't even knock on the door because no one is home. This has happened to me three times in a row now and I'm not accepting such invitations anymore.
