I don't like to torture any Sims in my game. I feel bad killing Sims for storyline purposes, so I try to make it as fast and painless as possible. They are pretend imaginary pixel people, and that does not matter to me. I'm so sorry your child has to be an orphan for this story to work.
I don't like Nancy or Malcolm because of the whole evil thing, but they are not exceptions. I leave them alone. My revenge on the Landgraabs was marrying Johnny Zest and seeing to it that their disowned son became a huge Comedy success and richer than them. And happier. The best revenge is living well.
